CV
After my university education and professional career, I studied at the Art Academy Haarlem-Leiden. From an early age I was inspired by Matisse but also by the Dutch painter Judith Leyster (1609-1660). Nowadays I am inspired by modern abstract art in which existing material are rediscovered and, reused. For years I have worked abroad for international development organizations and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Through my work I came into contact with many different cultures. In Latin American and Africa I was inspired by the colorful combinations and (re)use of materials. The Asian paintings and design also made a deep impression on me because of their techniques and sleek shapes.
